Energy Saving Trust recommends NMC (uk) Ltd for domestic pipe insulation.

NMC (uk) Ltd, leading manufacturers of flexible, thermal pipe insulation has been successful in gaining ‘Energy Saving Recommended’ status from the Energy Saving Trust on a range of CLIMAFLEX® pipe insulation sizes. 

Under the Energy Saving Recommended scheme only products that meet strict criteria on energy efficiency can carry the logo.  Consumers recognise Energy Saving Recommended products as best in class for energy efficiency and quality. Research shows that 8 out of 10 want to be recommended such products*, as they try to reduce both their own energy bills and their environmental impact.

Nmc (uk) Ltd contacted the Energy Saving Trust  to talk about establishing a new product endorsement category for domestic pipe insulation and has since worked closely with them to set the criteria parameters and test methodology, which led to an approved application for nmc as a company and then on to individual product endorsement.  


The aims of the endorsement scheme are to increase awareness of energy saving as a consumer issue, by sign-posting consumers to products that are, or are among the most, energy efficient products available, and Increase volume sales of energy efficient products by stimulating sales of endorsed
products to a greater extent than those not endorsed.


Cost effectiveness and environmental aspects are the focal points behind CLIMAFLEX® and at a time of rising energy prices, economic uncertainty and the effects of climate change, pipe insulation should be viewed not so much as an expense, but rather an investment in our future.
