Q Lawns recently welcomed Mark Southwell into the new post of Green Roof Installation and Maintenance Manager. “Following on from our very successful Green Roof Information Days for landscapers, designers and developers, some of our customers have asked for extra support with installation and maintenance.” explained Director Colin Brown “Even though, in principal, sedum roofs are not difficult to install or care for, the specialist equipment needed and the health and safety implications of working at height, tend to put people off doing the work themselves. Mark can either help customers with installation and maintenance or he can offer a complete service”

Q Lawns have been growing and supplying Enviromat sedum matting and green roofing materials to trade and domestic customers for seven years; and in those seven years, demand has continued to increase year on year despite the recession.  Colin Brown puts the success of the business down to increased public awareness of environmental issues but also down to the design of the Enviromat green roof build-up and a production team that takes quality control very seriously indeed.

An equally high quality wild-flower mat suitable for green roofing and for ground use is under development and will soon be available as an alternative to sedum matting.

For more information about green roofing, Enviromat Sedum Matting or the new MeadowMat, please contact Angela Lambert on 01842 828266 or e-mail to sales@qlawns.co.uk.

Enviromat Green Roof Information Days are well worth attending, the next one is to be held at Shrubhill Farms in Norfolk on 17th June 2010.  Attendance is free of charge but places are limited so please book in advance.
