GHE Solar are pleased to announce we have been awarded certification for Photovoltaic’s (PV). We are now one of only a very small number to have achieved both Solar Thermal and PV certification through the Microgeneration certification Scheme (MCS).

If anyone is looking for a trusted solar thermal installers or photovoltaic installer they need look no further. GHE Solar has now been awarded both Solar Thermal and Photovoltaic certification under the government backed Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).

The MCS is the body that holds the key to government grants amid raising standards in the industry. Only a system installed by a MCS certified installer, like GHE Solar, can attain a government grant.

“The Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) is an independent scheme that certifies microgeneration products and installers in accordance with consistent standards. It is designed to evaluate microgeneration products and installers against robust criteria providing greater protection for consumers.

The MCS is the only certification scheme to cover all microgeneration products and services, and has support from the Department of Energy and Climate Change, industry and non-governmental groups as a prime method for making a substantial contribution to cutting the UK's dependency on fossil fuels and carbon dioxide emissions.” (Source  : www.microgenerationcertification.org)

When GHE Solar set out to install Solar Hot Water Systems they knew MCS certification was a necessity to ensure high standards, therefore when they branched into PV they knew they same would be true.

To have achieved both certifications put them among a very select few that are driving the UK solar market the way it should be going. Unfortunately the solar industry in the UK was in fear of going a similar way to double glazing, however now MCS registered companies can lead the way, giving protection to the customers.

“It’s been a hard slog to achieve the certifications, the criteria is extremely tight and the assessors do not budge. Not only did they inspect our on-site workmanship but all the processes behind the scenes have to come up to the standards. This of course makes it that much better when you receive a congratulatory letter welcoming you to the MCS. “ Ryan Davis (Director)

The addition to the MCS which separates it from many other consumer protection bodies is the attention given to office standards. Most bodies will test the workmanship but do not check the company or individual has management and quality control systems in place behind the scenes.

This ensures the customer not only gets a well fitted, safe and performing system, but that the level of service both pre and post installation is of a high standard.

For all your solar needs look no further than a MCS registered company, namely GHE Solar.
