Ridgways is an independent family firm that was founded in 1820.

The aim of the firm is to provide quality shoes at affordable prices for all the family.

We are the largest independent shoe retailer in the south west and stock about 20,000 pairs of shoes.

Unlike a wholesaler we do not produce shoes and this allows us to have a much greater range as we are able to stock more brands and choose the best styles.

We have a team of over 20 staff members who are expertly trained and are on hand to offer you advice on product fit and foot health. We also have specialised staff members trained to feet children with orthotic insoles.

Shoe Recycling

For the past 15 years we have been working with a charity that specialises in the re-use of old shoes. These shoes are shipped to developing countries worldwide, so simply bring your old shoes into our shop to give them a new home.
