Throw your food waste into this bucket, add bokashi bran inoculated with beneficial microorganisms and your food waste will be femented in 2 weeks! Due to the fermentation process the waste does not putrefy. Meat and cooked food waste can be thrown away and what's more, there are no bad odours!
Once the fermentation step is done, the 'bokashied waste' can be dug into soil or into the garden which will then break down naturally into soil in 30-45 days! 12 times faster than traditional composting!
Bonus: During the whole fermentation process a sweet smelling liquid is produced as the food waste is structurally broken down. The liquid is filled with concentrated beneficial microorganism, allowing it to be diluted down and used as a plant fertilizer or a drain cleaner! Talk about making 100% full use of waste!
Our Bokashi buckets comes in a twin packet. Why do you need two? While bucket 1 ferments, you will need bucket 2 for disposing food waste into. Once bucket 1 finishes fermenting you can then clean it out and use it again which will be about time for bucket 2 to be placed aside to start its own fermenting process!
