Plinth Paint, masonry and concrete paint

»Tuesday, February 9,2010

This has been specially designed for decorating external plinths that are found on many buildings, especially around Suffolk. Plinth Paint is a better replacement for old tars and gloss paints that prevent moisture from leaving the surface. It can be applied onto lime and cement renders as well as bare brick and  even concrete.

The standard colour is black, but other colours can be mixed on request. Several customers have praised the way that it brushes on to the surface. They have also been pleased with the way that it stays black and does not fade over time.

A plinth can take a great deal of weathering, so two coats are recommended to give a good protection. Coverage is about 6m² per litre per coat.

Plinth Paint is solvent-free and water-based but goes on like an oil paint. It can take up to 36 hours to cure, but once it has hardened, it repels everything that the weather can throw at it.
